Austin Horton competes in National 100; fifth-place outing in Limited Late Model

For the 50th-annual National 100, Austin Horton brought out his No. 16 Super Late Model and No. 66 Limited Late Model to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Friday evening to kick off the long weekend.

Laying down the quickest lap out of 20 Limiteds, Horton started from the pole and led a few laps in the $5,000-to-win feature before fading back to fifth when the checkered flag flew.

Recording a DNF in the $15,000-to-win XR Super Series opener, Austin started eighth in the 100-lapper on Sunday and wound up 15th.
