Horton earns hard charger award with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Senoia Raceway

Pulling double duty in the rescheduled Independence Shootout, Austin Horton competed with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series and Crate Racin' USA on Saturday evening.

Trying to beat the rain, Horton finished sixth in his Super Late Model heat and second in his Crate Late Model B-Main before storms pushed the event to the following afternoon. On Sunday, Horton was an early retiree in the CRUSA feature before he charged from 17th-to-5th in the 50-lap HTFSDS main event to record a Top-5 finish.
