Horton back in victory lane at Senoia Raceway
After seeing his original plans to enter the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Talladega on Saturday nixed, Austin Horton decided to go into battle in the Limited Late Model division at Senoia Raceway.
The decision paid dividends as he raced to his fifth win of the year in his Orr’s Trucking No. 16 Super K Express/ Horton Flyer/ XR1 Rocket Chassis / Bobby Thomas Racing Engines Late Model.
“We were geared up to race at Talladega Short Track with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday, but when that got canceled we shifted our focus to the Limited Late Model at Senoia. All-in-all it was a pretty flawless night for our team, and albeit in a Limited car, it gave me some laps around that place to get ready for their Southern All Star show this Saturday,” Horton noted.
Saturday night saw Austin Horton return to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.), where he was piloting his Super K Express No. 16 Limited Late Model. After topping the 15-car field in time trials, Horton dominated the 30-lap feature to register his fifth win of the season. Winning by more than a four-second margin, Austin topped Glenn Morris, Jordy Nipper, Matt Dooley, and Oliver Gentry at the line.
