Podium finish in Michael Head Jr. Memorial at Senoia
Saturday night found Austin Horton in action at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) pulling double duty for the Michael Head Jr. Memorial. In a field of 30 Southern All Star Series entries, Horton secured his spot into the $4,054-to-win A-Main with the second fastest time in his qualifying group bheind Joseph Joiner. Rolling off third, Austin held his spot for all 54 laps to register a third place finish behind Brandon Overton and Joseph Joiner with Sam Seawright and Clint Smith rounding out the Top-5. During the same night behind the wheel of the Duke Motorsports No. 01 Crate Late Model, Horton followed up the sixth fastest lap in time trials with a fourth place finish in the feature, trailing Dylan Knowles, Jake Traylor, and Kyler Haygood across the line with Wayne Harbin coming in fifth.
