May 30, 2021 - Horton breaks while leading at Rome Speedway; Third-place finish at Dixie
Lifting the lid on his Memorial Day weekend, Austin Horton made the short trip to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon to pilot his Franklin Enterprises No. 16 Late Model for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event. Following the fastest time in his qualifying group during time trials, Horton faded one spot in the 40-lap feature to register a third-place finish. The following night at Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.) Austin topped the 23-car field in time trials, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the $4,053-to-win A-Main. Overtaking the top spot on the 10th lap after polesitter Dale McDowell suffered a flat right-rear tire, Horton shot out to a commanding lead but suffered a broken radiator with 10-to-go that ended his run immediately.

May 15, 2021 - Horton back in victory lane at Senoia Raceway
After seeing his original plans to enter the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Talladega on Saturday nixed, Austin Horton decided to go into battle in the Limited Late Model division at Senoia Raceway.

The decision paid dividends as he raced to his fifth win of the year in his Orr’s Trucking No. 16 Super K Express/ Horton Flyer/ XR1 Rocket Chassis / Bobby Thomas Racing Engines Late Model.

“We were geared up to race at Talladega Short Track with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday, but when that got canceled we shifted our focus to the Limited Late Model at Senoia. All-in-all it was a pretty flawless night for our team, and albeit in a Limited car, it gave me some laps around that place to get ready for their Southern All Star show this Saturday,” Horton noted.

Saturday night saw Austin Horton return to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.), where he was piloting his Super K Express No. 16 Limited Late Model. After topping the 15-car field in time trials, Horton dominated the 30-lap feature to register his fifth win of the season. Winning by more than a four-second margin, Austin topped Glenn Morris, Jordy Nipper, Matt Dooley, and Oliver Gentry at the line.

Saturday night found Austin Horton in action at West Georgia Speedway (Whitesburg, Ga.), competing in the Limited Late Model portion of the Brawl at the Burg. Laying down the fastest time in a field of 15 entries, Horton locked into the pole position for the A-Main.

Rolling to his fourth win of the season, Austin outdueled Dustin Jones, Matt Dooley, Rucker Orr, and Mark Knight in the 20-lapper to claim $1,000.
