November 30, 2019 - Runner-up Finish in Gobbler 100 Opener at Cochran
On Friday night Austin Horton was one of 20 Super Late Models on hand at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the Thanksgiving doubleheader. Registering the tenth fastest lap overall in time trials, Horton locked into the 10th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $5,000 on the line, Austin advanced through the field eight spots to place 2nd behind Michael Page with Brandon Overton, Steven Roberts, and Ahnna Parkhurst rounding out the Top-5.

Returning on Saturday for the second round of the Gobbler 100, Austin secured his spot into the $15,000-to-win finale with the fifth fastest time in qualifying. Starting in fifth, Horton dropped four positions in the 75-lap affair to record a 9th place outing.

November 3, 2019 - Triple Duty in National 100 at EAMS, 5th Place Finish in Crate Portion
Austin Horton invaded East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Saturday night competing in three separate divisions for the 45th annual National 100 weekend. In a field of 27 Super Late Models, Horton followed up the fifth fastest lap overall in time trials with a heat race victory. Earning the second-starting position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main on Sunday night, Austin got collected in a tangle on the second lap that damaged his nose, forcing him to retire.

With 26 National Late Model Super Car Series entries on hand, Horton topped the charts in time trials which positioned him on the pole for Sunday’s main event. With $5,000 on the line, Austin dominated the 50-lap feature but race officials deemed his right rear tire illegal, relegating him to 24th place outing.

In the Crate Late Model ranks, Austin locked his spot into the Sunday night’s main event with the tenth fastest lap in his time trial group. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in tenth, Horton gained five spots to place 5th behind Mark Whitener, Pierce McCarter, Ricky Culpepper, and Blake Smith.
